My husband and I are more than thrilled that we decided to hire Rob to do our basement construction. We saw his ad in the newspaper and figured it wouldn’t hurt to get his estimate along with the other one we had. Much to our delight, Rob came in several thousand dollars less without eliminating the high quality we insisted upon. I must add that while his estimate was a contributing factor in our decision-making process, his personality, intelligence, and “trustability” came through loud and clear and clinched the deal. The people that work for Rob were wonderful. To a person, they were polite, not too noisy, very knowledgeable, and considerate of our privacy. What a great bunch of folks he has on his team! We made several adjustments and changes as we went along and Rob and his workers were happy to accommodate us and even made some suggestions that saved us some money to boot! As for the finished product, we couldn’t be happier. We have a wonderful area where we can entertain, watch movies, and play with our grandchildren. Also, Don’s new office is a place where he can enjoy his workday and feel very comfortable and stress-free. I hate to even call it the basement because it is now so much a part of the house that we need to think of another name for this fabulous new living space! Rob is a true delight and a real class act. We’re actually going to miss him!

Finished Basement
We recently decided to finish our basement and are so happy that we hired Rob Meader for the job.  We found him through an advertisement in the Sunday Globe.  We were not sure what to expect, but Rob was extremely professional, courteous, and personable.  He had great attention to detail and was very accommodating to the changes we wanted along the way.  The project was reasonably priced and completed much earlier than we anticipated.  There were not the endless delays that you often hear of with contractors.  He addressed all of our concerns and kept the project running smoothly with his team.  We love our new room and our one year-old daughter loves her new play area.  We would definitely recommend Rob to our friends and family.

Finished Basement

We recently bought our first home and wanted someone to finish our basement.  Upon finding  Rob Meader through Craig’s List, we took a gamble and it paid off big time!  We contacted Rob and he gave us a great price.  Not only is he professional to work with but very personable as well.  We immediately felt comfortable with him from the start. We are very happy with the results.

We want to thank Rob and his team for the fantastic job they did on our basement project. The finished basement looks wonderful and the change is absolutely dramatic. Once dark and dreary, it is now bright, warm, and cozy. The attention to detail was amazing and their ability to accommodate our requests during the project was second to none.

Addition

Discard your usual "contractor" low expectations when dealing with Rob.  We can actually say this was the first time it was actually a pleasure going through the construction process.  In fact, after watching the smooth progress and great work on our house, my sister is now delighted to have Rob working on her addition.  We cannot say enough about Rob's attention to detail, follow through, and  communication skills.  And most importantly, he's a man of his word - not something you see everyday any more.  We're delighted we found him.

Kitchen/Bath Remodel and Finished Basement

We knew we were taking a risk when we called Rob Meader based on a newspaper advertisement...who does that anymore?  Well, they should.  We were new to New England and needed to remodel our house.  We received many references from neighbors and newly met friends. After receiving unsatisfactory quotes and lacking a confidence in those with whom we spoke, we decided to go it alone.

The professionalism that Rob Meader exuded was evident from the get-go.  Phone calls were returned immediately and inquiries were answered quickly.  Rob Meader defied the stereotypical general contractor that we had seen so many times before.  His team of electricians, plumbers, and carpenters showed up when promised.  Any problems that arose were addressed as soon as possible.

The quality of work was unmatched and our expectations surpassed.  We love our "new" house!

Finished Basement

Rob Meader’s team recently completed a finished basement for our family. The project ended up being just under 1600 sq ft, so needless to say it was more complex than a standard finished basement room. Rob was always professional and courteous, and addressed any concerns promptly. Although we had visions of what the space would look like, it actually looked better than we had anticipated. Our home is only about 4 years old, and Rob paid special attention to making the finish work match that of the main house. It is really a pretty seamless transition from the 1^st floor to the basement- which really doesn’t even feel like a basement anymore.
